Chapter 24- Explain why Holden suddenly leaves Mr.Antolini's house and is Mr.Antolini's behavior inappropriate? Explain

Holden suddenly leaves Mr.Antolini's house because when Holden woke up and found Mr.A patting his head it made Holden feel beyond uncomfortable and he started thinking that Mr.A was a pervert. Holden was very embarrassed by Mr. A's actions and it made him nervous. No i don't think Mr.A's behavior was inappropriate i don't think he meant any harm by what he was doing, but since Holden is such a immature boy of course he took it the wrong way.

Chapter 23 - At the end of this chapter, why is it that Holden no longer cares if his parents find him at home?

Holden no longer cares if his parents find him at home because he didn't want to leave after chewing the fat with Phoebe. He wanted them to catch him so that way he could stay and although his parents would have been mad that he got kicked out of Pencey, he would at least be home now.

Chapter 20-22 - Explain what Holden may mean when he describes his sister as "quite affectionate" for a child.

What i believe Holden means when he says that Phoebe is "quite affectionate" for a child is that normally children don't show a lot of affection to others because they are unsure of how to or just don't want to, but Phoebe is different when she seen Holden she was very happy and hugged him. Phoebe shows affection like other children really don't.

Chapter 18-19- Holden describes the Wicker Bar as sophisticated but he is critical of the people who patronize it. Discuss why you think Holden chose the Wicker Bar as a place to meet Luce.

I think Holden chose the Wicker Bar as a place to meet Luce because Luce was a few years older then Holden and Holden must have wanted to impress Luce. Luce was a smart person and since the Wicker Bar was a sophisticated place he wanted Luce to meet him there so he wouldn't seem like he was still a young boy. Holden really doesn't even like the Wicker Bar because of all the grown people but because of Luce he decided to go there.

Chapter 16-17 -Explain why Holden laughs at Sally while she is angry.

I think Holden laughs at Sally when she is angry because the reaction she gave was not what he expected. Also he probably laughed because he didn't mean to say it and when he tried to apologize she just kept telling him to leave her alone.

Chapter 14-15-Why do you think Holden enjoys talking to the nun?

In my opinion i think Holden enjoys talking to the nuns because he thought one of them was attractive and because they were very nice to him. Holden doesn't have any friends and since the nuns were so nice to him he probably figured it was a good idea to spark up a conversation also because he found a common topic to talk about with one of the nuns.

Chapter 11-12.-Describe Holden's relationship with Jane are they lovers, just friends, or are the more then friends. Explain.

In my opinion based off what i read i believe that Jane and Holden have a more then friends relationship. I believe they have a more then friends relationship because they were always together doing things and playing checkers. Also when Jane's mother's boyfriend came and asked Jane a question and she started to tear up Holden tried to comfort her by giving her kisses all over EXCEPT her mouth because she wouldn't allow him. If they were lovers she most likely would have let him kiss her lips but she didn't, and if they were just friends then i doubt she would have let him kiss her. Also they would always hold hands where ever they went and she wouldn't mind it if his hands were sweating or not.
